Our family would rate our stay at Hitchin Post 10/10 stars. We drove to Nelsonville to see a play at the Stuart Opera House. We went hiking at Rockhouse and to Old Man's Cave.Ībsolutely beautiful trails. We stayed there October 5th through 8th and the weather was beautiful. I have already highly recommended it to several friends since returning home. This cabin has everything that the website mentions! You will not be disappointed. So yummy and so well decorated and such a blessing for our time there. It was one of the most delicious cakes that I've eaten. It was an extra charge but we were happy to do it. When we registered we were able to select if we wanted to have a cake during our stay. Phil had given us a bottle of fish food to take to the pond with us which was fun. Not too long of a walk but very nice and scenic and there were some nice benches around the pond that we could sit at. We also took time to hike on the trails down to the pond. It was just a great stay in a relaxing and beautiful cabin that was all decorated for fall. We grabbed some of those on our last morning.ĭelicious!! The hot tub was wonderful and we loved that it was enclosed. She told us about the donuts on Friday and Saturday mornings. We had a great server, Jersey that made it fun to be there. We had dinner at The Ridge just down the road for 2 nights. We brought foods for breakfast and lunch and were able to prepare those easily with the stocked kitchen. A wonderful, secluded cabin in the woods. We fell in love with the cabin when we saw it. We absolutely loved our time here!! Phil was very welcoming and explained everything about the cabin and the area when we checked in.
